This Cookie Policy explains how Mommy AI uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you use our mobile application. We are committed to being transparent about how we collect and use your data.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website or use an application. They help the app remember your preferences and provide a better experience.

As a mobile application Mommy AI does not use traditional browser cookies. Instead we use similar technologies that serve the same purpose on mobile devices.

2. WHAT TECHNOLOGIES DO WE USE?

Instead of traditional cookies Mommy AI uses the following local storage technologies:

AsyncStorageWe use AsyncStorage to store data locally on your device including your user preferences and settings, notification preferences, onboarding profile information, subscription status, AI usage counters, greeting preferences, and app theme settings. This data stays on your device and helps the app remember your preferences between sessions.

JWT Authentication Tokens When you sign in to Mommy AI we store a secure JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication token on your device. This token keeps you logged in so you do not have to enter your password every time you open the app. Tokens expire automatically after 30 days of inactivity for your security.

Supabase Session StorageWe use Supabase to manage your authentication session. Supabase stores a secure session token that verifies your identity when you use the app. This is handled securely using industry standard encryption.

3. WHY DO WE USE THESE TECHNOLOGIES?

We use these storage technologies for the following purposes:

Essential FunctionsThese are required for the app to work properly and cannot be turned off:

• Keeping you logged in to your account
• Remembering your profile and preferences
• Tracking your subscription status and message usage
• Saving your emergency contacts for the SOS feature
• Storing your grocery lists, chores, and home management data

Performance and AnalyticsWe track basic usage patterns to improve the app including which features are used most, app performance and crash reporting, and general usage statistics. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

PersonalizationWe store your preferences to personalize your experience including your preferred notification times, your current book in the Books Hub, your income streams and financial data, and your AI conversation preferences.

4. THIRD PARTY TECHNOLOGIES

Some of our third party service providers also use similar storage technologies:

5. REFUND POLICY REFERENCE

For information about our subscription refund policy please review our full Terms of Service at yoursite.com/terms-of-service. We offer a 7-day refund policy for initial purchases and a 24-hour free trial for new users.

6. YOUR CHOICES

You have control over the data stored on your device:

Clear App DataYou can clear all locally stored data by deleting and reinstalling the Mommy AI app. Please note this will log you out and remove all locally stored preferences.

Delete Your AccountYou can permanently delete your account and all associated data by going to the Support tab inside the Mommy AI app and tapping Delete My Account. We will remove all your data within 30 days.

Manage PermissionsYou can manage app permissions including notifications and microphone access through your phone Settings under Mommy AI.

Opt Out of MarketingYou can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by replying STOP to any email or contacting us at askmommyai@gmail.com.

7. DATA RETENTION

We retain locally stored data for as long as you have an active account with Mommy AI. When you delete your account all data is removed within 30 days. Authentication tokens expire automatically after 30 days of inactivity for your security.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Mommy AI is designed for mothers aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used our app please contact us immediately at askmommyai@gmail.com.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The updated policy will always be available at this URL. Your continued use of Mommy AI after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
