1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
We collect the following personal information you provide to us:- Full name and nickname
- Email address
- Phone number
- Children's names and ages (used solely to personalize your family management experience)
- Motherhood season and life situation
- Support preferences and goals
- Financial data (income streams, home expenses, and bills entered into the Boss Mom section)
- Documents you upload to the Important Documents section
- Voice recordings (processed in real time for AI Voice Vent responses and crisis detection — not permanently stored beyond your active session)
- Personal journal entries, notes, and brain dump content entered into the Personal Vault
- Passwords and credentials voluntarily stored in the Personal Vault (encrypted and accessible only by you)
- Emergency contact information you designate for the SOS feature (stored securely and used solely to deliver SOS messages on your behalf)
- Payment information (handled securely by RevenueCat — we never see or store your full payment details)
We also automatically collect:
Device information (model, operating system, IP address)
App usage data and interaction patterns
Push notification preferences
- Location data (only if you explicitly grant permission)
2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
We use your information to:
Create and manage your Mommy AI account
Provide personalized AI support and recommendations
Process your subscription payments

3. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Mommy AI uses artificial intelligence powered by OpenAI to provide conversational support, meal planning, career and business guidance, household management assistance, and emotional wellness features.
Your conversations and voice content are processed by OpenAI solely to generate responses and to power crisis detection features. We do not permanently store your AI conversations or voice recordings on our servers beyond your active session.
Please do not share sensitive financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or highly sensitive personal information in AI chats or the Voice Vent feature.

4. WHEN DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
Supabase — secure database and authentication (hosted on AWS)
OpenAI — AI conversation processing
RevenueCat — subscription and payment management
Google — if you use Google Sign In
Law enforcement — only when required by law
All third party services are bound by strict data protection agreements.
5. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We protect your data using:
HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
AES-256 encryption for data at rest (via Supabase/AWS)
Row Level Security — you can only access your own data
JWT authentication tokens
Input sanitization to prevent attacks
Automatic session timeout after 30 days of inactivity
No hardcoded API keys or secrets in our code
However no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login credentials private.
6. CRISIS SUPPORT
Mommy AI includes an automated crisis detection system within the Voice Vent feature. If you express thoughts of self-harm, suicide, or a mental health crisis our AI will immediately surface crisis resources including:- 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988
- Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741
- A prompt to contact emergency services
You acknowledge that:
- This is an automated detection system only and is not a guaranteed emergency response
- Crisis detection may not identify every situation requiring emergency assistance
- In any life threatening emergency you should always call 911 directly and immediately
- Mommy AI is NOT a licensed therapy service and is not a replacement for professional mental health care or emergency services
7. SOCIAL LOGINS
You may register using your Google account. When you do, we receive basic profile information including your name and email address from Google. We use this information only to create and manage your Mommy AI account.
8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?- We keep your personal information for as long as you have an active account with us. This includes:
- Account information — retained while your account is active
- Financial data and documents — retained while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion
- Voice recordings — not permanently stored beyond your active session
- Personal Vault content including diary entries, brain dump notes, and stored passwords — retained while your account is active and permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Emergency contact information — retained while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion
- AI conversation history — not permanently stored on our servers
- When you delete your account we will delete or anonymize all of your personal information within 30 days except where retention is required by applicable law.
- 9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
Mommy AI is designed exclusively for mothers aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Users may voluntarily enter information about their children including names and ages for the purpose of personalizing household and family management features within the app. This information is:
- Stored securely within your account
- Used solely to personalize your experience
- Never used for marketing, advertising, or AI training purposes
- Never shared with third parties
- Permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- If you believe a child under 13 has independently created a Mommy AI account or provided us with personal information without parental knowledge please contact us immediately at hello@mommyai.app and we will delete it promptly.
10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information including all Personal Vault content, financial data, and emergency contacts
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Data portability
- To exercise any of these rights contact us at hello@mommyai.app or submit a request through the Delete My Account option in the app under Support.
11. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) including: - The right to know what personal information is collected about you
- The right to know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom
- The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
- We do not sell your personal information to any third party for any purpose. To exercise your CCPA rights please contact us at hello@mommyai.app.
12. COOKIES AND TRACKING
As a mobile app Mommy AI does not use traditional browser cookies. We use similar technologies including AsyncStorage for local data storage and JWT tokens for authentication sessions. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
13. REFUND POLICY
We offer a 7-day free trial for new users with no charge. During the trial you will have access to 30 total AI credits. After the trial ends your selected subscription will begin automatically.
If you are not satisfied with your subscription you may request a refund within 7 days of your initial paid purchase by contacting hello@mommyai.app. Refunds requested after 7 days from the initial purchase date will not be issued except where required by applicable law.
Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policy. Refunds for purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google's refund policy. We encourage you to review the refund policies of your respective app store before subscribing.
- We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or abusive.
14. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. The updated policy will always be available at this URL. Continued use of Mommy AI after changes means you accept the updated policy.
